Advantages and disadvantages of SSDs.

Advantages and disadvantages of SSDs.

What surprised you? SSD has problems again! That's it. Let's not know the advantages and disadvantages of SSD and the strategies to avoid these disadvantages. As well as the combination of hard disk and SSD which is Value for Money for us.

Advantages of SSD:

1. The biggest advantage of SSD is its high speed. Where the traditional HDD gives a maximum speed of only 130 MB / s, the minimum speed of the SSD in the SATA 2 interface is 250 MB. If SATA interface is SATA 3, the same SSD will give you speed up to 550 MB. That means about four times the speed. And if it is NVMe !!! Areh bhaire bhae it will give speed up to about 3500 megabytes which is 25 times more than the traditional HDD!

2. There is no moving part inside the SSD so there is no noise from the motor. No vibration. It doesn't crash like a hard disk because it doesn't have a moving part. High Speed and Instant-Load Performance of SSD as there is no moving part.

3. The chip used in the SSD makes the SSD smaller in shape, lighter and more portable, which is not the size of a HDD. You can walk around with it in your pocket.

4. Another great advantage of SSD is its low power consumption technology. Which is not very understandable on the desktop, but very effective in the case of laptops.

Disadvantages of SSD

1. Price. Yes, this is the biggest problem with SSDs. Prices are about four times higher than traditional HDDs.

2. Due to the unique file system structure of the SSD, recovering deleted data is a very complex and time consuming process, and the data recovery process is very expensive, so let's say deleting means deleting forever.

3. SSD memory chips have a certain number of writing cycles, which can lead to data loss in later life.

4. If any of the controller chip, memory cache, or NAND type memory chips are physically damaged, your data will become completely inaccessible.

5. Life span of SSD is usually 5 to 6 years. Is it an advantage or a disadvantage? In fact, the hard disk goes like that.

What are you afraid of? No fear. If there is a problem, there is a solution. There is only one solution to all these problems, the combined use of hard disk and SSD. If you have a SATA SSD, you will buy at least 240 GB SSD. You will get about 550 MB speed in SATA3, and about 250 MB in SATA2. The speed of 120 GB is less but I will say it before. Set up the operating system by partitioning 100 GB. And keep the project files in the remaining 140 or whatever. Or if you play a game, bring the game and copy it to this drive. Remove the file to the hard disk again at the end of the game or after work. Bass Speed also got the fear of data loss again (if Archie, of course, seems irrelevant to me).

Which one to buy now. The answer is your will. Brand SSDs: Transcend, Gigabyte, Samsung, Corsair Budget SSDs: Walton, Adata, Ramsta.

But you have to buy from these. You can buy whatever you want. However, if you want to enjoy the full speed of the current PC, you must install SSD as the boot drive of the system. I shouted a lot. Everyone stay home, stay healthy and stay informed. If necessary, if you go out of the house, you must go out after the mask.
