Ethical Hacking Free Course Episode (10) 0 6 Best Hacking Operating Systems!
Many people have this question in their mind, which is the best operating system or Linux distro for ethical hacking and pen testing? Again, many questions, which hacking operating systems do real hackers use? Well, if you are thinking of making your own career in ethical hacking, these are absolutely common questions! Because you have to master the right tools.
Don't forget to be a pro hacker by using Windows, even if you don't use any Linux distro. You need to find some operating systems that are specifically designed for hacking and pen testing. First of all, I am not a pro hacker, (I just have some basic knowledge about security) but I have mentioned some of the best hacking operating systems in this article from my own knowledge and experience of using different operating systems, which no pro hacker would want to miss.
Hacking operating systems, in particular, are designed to protect security, but Black Hat and Great Hat hackers also use these OS and tools. But the question is not who is using what, the point is that since we are sitting down to discuss ethical hacking, we have to think about protecting security, not worrying about security breaches, because this right thinking makes a hacker an ethical hacker.
The best hacking operating system.
Ink Linux
Kali Linux is a hacking operating system of any hacker's first choice. Created with a particular focus on security and best for pen testing, this OST has been re-written by backtracking. It is a Debian based Linux distro with 600+ pen testing and pre-installed security related tools. The operating system also receives regular updates, and can be run from USB just like any other Linux distro.
This is an updated version from Backtrack, with many new tools added and more to come. You can't use all the tools in the live version, so you need to install it on your computer to use it fully. Ink Linux can also be installed on many Android phones and some special tools can be run. Ink Linux can be run on some Nexus and Samsung devices. If you are a beginner student of Ethical Hacking and want something to work with, then there is no better solution than Kali Linux, you can see a detailed overview of Kali Linux from this article .
Parrot Security OS
It is a very popular operating system for security and pain testing, also known as Paratsek. Parrot Security OS is based on Debian and is a cloud-friendly OS designed specifically for ethical hacking, pen testing, computer forensics, cryptography, and more. This is the best OS to work easily and to have maximum anonymity.
While its main focus is on security, another big focus is that it is a lightweight operating system that can run very smoothly. What many people don't realize is that Parrot Security OS is actually a combination of Frozenbox OS and Kali Linux. However, it has some features of its own, moreover this OS comes with MATE desktop environment which is highly customizable. So it must be said that this is a very powerful hacking OS which also has a strong user community.
Backbox
DEFT Linux
BlackArch Linux
Which one should I use?
Ink Linux is a best hacking OS, of course! The biggest advantage is that you will find many online tutorials on Kali Linux which makes it very easy to learn. Parrot Security OS, on the other hand, is built on Debian, meaning that Ink and Parrot Security OS are much more similar if compared to BlackArch. BlackArch, on the other hand, is built on Arch Linux, which means it has to use different command lines and different styles. However, if you feel more comfortable using Arch Linux, then BlackArch may be the best hacking operating system for you.
